Research Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in the Wang Lab! We have a supportive and open lab. As long as you are a hard worker and creative thinker who is respectful to others, you are welcome here.
Our research is highly multi-disciplinary, and we are always on the lookout for talented, self-motivated students, postdocs and research assistants with a background in just about any field of biology, medicine, science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM). If you're interested in working in the fields of signal transduction, quantitative cell biology, cancer biology, molecular biology, systems biology, and biomedical engineering, please contact Chun-Chao. Please also have a read through our current lab manual below to make sure the lab is a good fit.

Undergraduate Students 大學生
Yes! We welcome all students (first-year students, sophomores, juniors, seniors, transfer students, visiting students, and international exchange students) from all departments across the University and from other colleges, universities or high schools. No experience is necessary, and anyone who is interested may get involved. Typically, undergraduates will undergo training during their first year, work for credit to develop their projects, and may also submit a student grant proposal in their second year. In their third year, they will pursue a senior-design project. We create getting started guides for new students and offer students plenty of opportunities to be actively engaged in research.
Please feel free to contact us if you are interested in joining our lab or have any questions about the work we do. Tell us a bit about yourself so we can help guide your next steps.
Graduate Students 研究生 (Ph.D. and M.S.)
We are looking for but not limited to applicants with previous wet-lab experience in molecular-cellular biology, genomics-proteomics, cell-tissue engineering, medicine, or chemistry. Students with a background in bioinformatics, computational biology, biophysics, or statistics are also encouraged to apply, but be aware that we do not currently have any project that is purely theoretical. We welcome students with no experience as well. Even if you have little or no experience of working in a research lab, the senior members will teach you a lot of things through face-to-face training. Scholarships and information on how to apply for them are available through the following links.

International Dual Degree 雙聯學位 & Exchange Students 交換學生
Our lab is very interested in hosting students interested in pursing a research thesis topic related to (breast) cancer, molecular biology, single-cell study, systems biology, and biomedical engineering through the international dual degree program and exchange program. More information on the programs, including eligibility and scholarships, can be found at the following links. If you are interested in the programs and topics we conduct research on, send us an email.
Postdoctoral Fellows 博士後研究學者
Competitive applicants are expected to have a strong background in bioengineering or quantitative molecular biology (or a related discipline). Note that at this time we do not have any funding for post docs, so we encourage interested fellows to apply for funding and we can certainly help with the proposal write up in terms of hypothesis, objectives and specific aims. Postdoctoral Fellowships and information on how to apply for them are available through the following links.
